Does Anyone Else Feel Like This?

I have received eight pieces of fundraising mail in just the last week or two from the DNC, DCCC, Senate Majority PAC, DSCC, Speaker Pelosi, Vice President Kamala Harris, Chuck Shumer and Dr. Jill Biden. All of them saying how urgent it is that we donate to defeat the Republicans in the mid term elections.

I just finished calling my senators and representative to tell them that I will be withholding my donations until new federal election legislation is passed regulating and reining in the redistricting/gerrymandering and banning post election alteration of election outcomes by partisan personnel. We have until August 16th for the Senate Democrats to come to their senses and pass meaningful election/voting legislation because that is the date the 2020 Census goes into effect for redistricting.

What is the point of donating if the Republicans are allowed to complete their plans to steal the next election(s), suppress the vote and end democracy? Perhaps if enough people tell their representatives they will withhold contributions, they will move a little faster.

With larger majorities there is a chance

Lyndon Johnson had a 65 seat Majority in the Senate and a Democratic House and it was still a fight to pass voting rights. A 50/0 senate is not a majority, it is a 50/50 senate.
