Does anyone else find Google becoming unusable?

There are so many top, side and bottom ads on Google searches now that there is barely room for actual search hits. Sometimes on the whole page there are three or four actual search results, and the rest are ads based on the search criterion. Google is ruining the internet with this shit.

I don't want to use Bing. We need an alternative to Google, they are becoming too greedy.

I am not able to replicate your description on any browser with adblock installed.

Adwords do not show up with adblock enabled.

pick "settings" from the bottom right, then increase the number of results returned by page.

You cannot get rid of the ads, but you can reduce their presence.

At the moment, its algorithm isn't as well-developed as Google's, but that's partly because the user base is smaller. DDG is committed to refining the algorithm based on user behavior, and not only do they have a cleaner user interface, they don't track your searches.

helpfully,
Bright
