Can anyone suggest the best Mac model for use by a graphic designer?

I want to buy my daughter a graduation/birthday gift and I don't want to ask her and spoil the surprise. She would want a laptop. I'm redeeming my Amex points for this and can buy it from their selection (Air and Pro) but I don't know which is better for graphic art or if it makes any difference. Any thoughts on this would be very appreciated. Thanks in advance!

The Pro is for professionals who do work like graphic design, video/film editing, animation and photography. Get as much memory as you can.

The one Pro they offer has a 13" screen with 1.3 GHz and 256 GB flash storage. Is that good?

AMEX has those for Rewards because they bought older models. If you want to stick w/ rewards points a Mac Pro is still a good choice.
