Desperate woman seeks help with Netflix Error Code: H7022-1003

I have a Lenovo G700 laptop running Win8.1 and IE 11.0.10. I installed a 26meg optional update on July 9th and haven't been able to view Netflix since. I created a system restore point before the update and restored after Netflix failed. That did not solve the problem.

The only advice I've found (which did nothing) was to unclick Open Internet Exporer tiles on the desktop in Internet Options/Programs.

Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

I am an original Windows and Explorer user and too old change.

You can try the following steps, per the link.

http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/ie/forum/ie11-iewindows8_1/netflix-will-not-play-video-error-code-h7022-1451/dcee0d64-ab36-44d0-a249-263994c03d64

Logged into netflix.com
Clicked on My Account
Under the section "Your Profile", Clicked on Playback Settings
Under the Preferences section, Uncheck the "Prefer HTML5 player instead of Silverlight" Box
Close Netflix the go back in and it should work.

Are you able to go to the Windows Store and install the Netflix App for Windows 8? You can use the App instead of Internet Explorer.

My hero. Thank you so much. Unchecking HTML5 did it. Thanks also for the app suggestion.
