Windows 10 update notice for Win 7 and 8/8.1 (KB3035583)

A few weeks ago I hid the MS Win10 "update" that notifies you of the Windows 10 update.
Well this evening it was unhidden and I was notified it wanted to install an important up date.
I re-hid (KB3035583).
This is a good example as to why to not allow MS to update your OS automatically.

According to the comments on the story about Windows 10, on The Register, this is not something most people would want.

is that they say that the upgrade is available free. The truth is that the upgrade is good for one year, then you will have to pay for it. I haven't read whether it will allow the user to go back to their previous OS so you could end up with an unusable computer if you don't have installation disks available and you might have to reload the drivers that are currently on your PC.

Total scam and I'll stay on Windows 7 to save myself from the hassle.

I used this program to find the autoruns to kill it
https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb963902.aspx

You have to go into options and uncheck Hide Signed Microsoft Entries

search for GWX in the search box

try to disable these entries one at a time. If I remember correctly, you can disable only two but it killed it for me. There are autoruns at startup that keep enabling it.
