Is there a way to get my spouse's new Windows Seven Machine to display
The old XP start menu box?
Any help appreciated. ***** On edit: Even figuring out how to access "Games" and "Search" would be great.

(37,434 posts)to get the old XP menu, I think you have to use Classic Shell or another program.
Try Classic Shell here: http://www.classicshell.net/downloads/

(32,324 posts)And you look kuhl in the beret! (Unless you are a blond and that is yr hair - my eyesight is not that good these days.)
Anyway, my spouse's computer screen only has the program files, and folders. Nothing at all like you say Seven or Eight looks like.
What his screen is missing is the entire teal colored panel to the right, that the start menu. And no where is the shut down button either!
