Turbotax is crashing -- now what?
I'm running Turbotax Premier 2015 on Win7-x64 (but tried another system running Win8 as well)
Turbotax crashes every single time I try to save my return, save as PDF, or e-file.
The problem is that Turbotax imports thousands of transactions from my financial manager. I've had problems for the last two years doing that (and Turbotax places the source at the financial institution), but it appeared to work this year. However, after the importation, the software is extremely slow and eventually crashes down the line in different places.
I've filed a bug with Turbotax and posted a query to their support forums but no responses at all yet, despite the fact that I don't appear to be the only one with this problem.
I've tried H&R Block Premium and so far it's claiming the (financial institution's) import server is down. I suppose I'll try again later.
I've tried running on different computers, doing things in a different order, but to no avail: it eventually crashes somewhere down the line, even near the very end.
Any suggestions? Looks like I might have to file for an extension again.

(6,261 posts)Will it (either the free or deluxe edition) allow me to import my financial transactions from my financial institution? I've thousands of them and I really don't want to import them by hand.
I couldn't tell from the website.
Thanks.

(19,089 posts)I use it for personal income with the standard deduction only ... I cannot speak to it's capabilities outside of regular income taxes for wage earners ...
Sorry

(6,261 posts)As it's only $5.99, it might be worth giving it a try if the others don't work...
