My kitteh sat on my keyboard and now my screen is dark

4. Hit whatever F key looks like a screen

Windows logo key + P - - Choose a presentation display mode

6. press the off button, if that does work, remove the battery

assuming it a laptop replace battery & restart

7. I got one of those veradesks thing. Cat hates it. Kitty keyboard events

no longer occur.
