So I saw an Asus i7 or 7i at the Gregg store for 629.00

I think I could live with an Asus i5 if it were loaded with software. Anyone have any good leads?

DVD and usual ports are important. Firewire would be a bonus.

Thanks.

It had overheating problems that eventually burned out my backlight. And I hear that the machines are still built compact so that burnout factor is still a problem.
