Craigslist will sell your email address to spammers.

I had one particular addy I used for Craigslist only. I closed my account with them recently after they started charging for certain categories of ads. I left the email account active. Now after many years I get several bogus emails a day addressed to that account. I'll leave it active for a while just out of curiosity to see how bad it gets.

When I request a ayalog, for instance, after my first name I add initials of catalog....fer instance J.C. Penny would read

Mary JC Smith

Very interesting to see which junk mail comes with which address.....

My favorite household/gardening source is Lee Valley Tools, in Canada, and they do not seem to sell my address.
