Windows 10 password reset.

Last edited Tue Dec 31, 2019, 08:39 PM - Edit history (1)

I set up an Outlook email address when I got my new laptop a couple of months ago and never used it. Microsoft says there is a problem with the password for that address. I get a message when I boot up in the morning. I cannot come up with the password. In order to reset it they want-

The recipients and subject lines of recent email messages.
Other passwords I used for that account.
Debit card info.

I never used the email account so I have no recent emails.
I never had any other passwords but the one I used to set up the account and cannot find.
All I have is the card info because Microsoft Office takes money every month.

The Outlook address is listed as Administrator of Window 10 and Microsoft Office stores documents in the "cloud" using it.

Has anyone else encountered this issue? Any suggestions?

On edit-I should add they already have the card info because of Office account.
