This old timer needs help. What site offers the most simple way to install You Tube.(then my phone)

I was gifted with an iPhone8 buy my kids. Wonderful. I have managed to use several functions on the phone but want to use it for photo's.

Everywhere I look on-line, the instructions are beyond my 77 year old capabilities.
Can anyone suggest the easiest to understand site to help me? I need to install YT and to somehow understand how to use my iPhone to take photo's.
I am told I have to install You Tube etc...I don't know how to do any of what is suggested from the pages I read..

Since there are no instructions with anything any longer, I have to rely on the internet.
I have such a stress headache now, I'm ready to throw the phone or the computer out the window.

Any good ideas would be appreciated.
I called my computer Guru and he did not want to help because he said it would cost me too much money. I guess it is time consuming process. He knows I am on limited income.
My computer has been updated to Win 10, no problems with the machine....it is the ancient operator.!

I may be moving soon(can't afford my town any longer) and must post stuff for sale on my local Facebook pages.
Help..if you could guide me to the right place, I would be grateful.

Find the blue tile with an A in white on it. It is labeled App Store. Click on it. When it opens type in the name of any app you want installed on your phone. This is where you will get any app you want on your phone.

If so, go here

https://tv.youtube.com/welcome/

and follow the directions.

Otherwise, if you just want to view free/public videos, you don't have to install anything, you just go to www.youtube.com (or click youtube links) and a browser tab opens and you boom, you're using youtube. Type stuff in the search bar to look for specific things like 'Fixing a Faucet' or 'Best Led Zeppelin Songs' or whatever.

If you want to install the youtube app to use on your phone rather than using a browser, see post 1. Having an app on the phone makes the experience a bit better, but you don't have to ... and for your PC you def. don't need an app unless (maybe) if you want the paid/streaming service (dunno cause I don't have it).

Dunno about photos on an Iphone but I'd imagine on the main page there's like a camera icon, and you click it to use the camera.

You can watch youtube videos with the Safari browser, which comes already installed.

You don't need a youtube app to just watch videos.

Taking pix is pretty easy, the camera app is also pre-installed and you can launch it normally or find it by swiping up from the bottom of the screen. It will take stills or video or other odd things. Pick 'photo' for normal pix.

But .. find someone you trust that can show you how to use it and answer your questions. Learning from the web can be fun if you're patient, but nothing beats a helper. E.g. once you've taken the pix, now you probably want to share them!

Don't give up, my 93 yr old mother likes her new iPhone

When I tried to post them on a local Facebook page, I got the message that the computer did not recognize this camera..or whatever. I was told I had to install You Tube in order to post pictures from my iPhone to any FB page.

I don't watch You Tube except when something appears on DU that I would like to view.
All I want to do is take the pictures on the iPhone and post them to FB.

The things I read made it sound like I was trying to plot a trip to the moon.
Thanks,
PR

6. Facebook from iPhone

It sounds like you should get the Facebook application for the iPhone. It is what you should be using to post pix to Facebook. You need to use the "App Store" application (and your Apple ID [name & password]) to sign in to the app store ... even for free downloads like Facebook.

Once you download the Facebook app, you can launch it and pick photos to upload from inside the Facebook application.

Or you can run the "Photos" application, pick a photo and "share" to Facebook (but I think that share option won't be visible until after you have installed the Facebook Application).

Hope this helps!
