"Nextdoor" website

Foolishly signed up with an account. Tried to quit but can't. I'm enslaved. You can de-activate the account, but you cannot delete it. Maybe you can delete it, but you have to give them more information than when you signed up.

Any ideas?

The site was supposed to be helping neighbors.

It has turned into a petty complaint board that goes on for pages.

who sign up for it. Mine is not very helpful or political although I did find a reliable lawn service on ND.

The most political are people complaining about neighbors who they perceive as making bad choices in lawn care. Just like DU.

I don't know how to quit your account. My teenage son decided to troll some neighbors complaining about wind chimes...His username is Hugh Janus, maker of custom wind chimes. He got people all worked up and finally got banned. Maybe that's the only way to quit?

2:30 am startled shooting them off again keeping everyone awake. The next day I saw someone make a post about the fireworks and I commented about the 2:30 am ones and that I was concerned because years ago on the 4th of July it started a fire on the mountain near my house. The next night this asshole found out where I live and at 2:30 am on Saturday night set off these fireworks in my back yard causing a bunch of burns on my fence and now I have to get some of the boards replaced. Nextdoor sucks sometimes.

If that’s the case, it seems unfair since non-members can not defend themselves against complaints. Seems kind of strange to me.

That is a constant “anecdote” some “neighbor” shares about how their RING spotted a would be thief.

Nextdoor e-mail address, name and address. You're saying they don't already have that?

Out of curiosity, I just tried a test account and they asked for all three of those items when signing up. It won't let you sign up without all three so I would think they already have them from when you signed up.

it expands to more boxes of data. You have to upload your drivers license or passport. I haven't gone any further
