Need an app to display numbers

I'm looking for a "simple" app or program that can be used to display large numbers on a computer. Imagine someone on TV or a movie typing something like "60 million years ago" and the screen displays "60 million." Something like that. The numbers should be fairly large and ideally scroll back.

This is a for a student film about a scientist who invents a time machine.

3. Any program into which you can type could be used to make a slide.

Just set it up on the screen and then do a screen capture. Then scroll the capture.
