Google search stopped working for me.

I go to their main page (which is my homepage) enter a term in the search window, hit the button, and nothing happens. Sometimes I get to the results window and nothing appears.

Everywhere else I go on the net works fine. Using Firefox and I did disable all addons and got the same results. Anyone know what's up?

I don't have enough information to say for certain, but sometimes, even Google stops responding from time to time.

If that's the case, the only thing to do is wait for the IT people to fix it.

Not sure if that translates to Google search issues or not.

It will give you an option to reset.

I had the same problem with Google and I had to do this to get it working again.

11. I thought it might be one of the addons preventing Google from working.

Since the problem started shortly after I installed a couple more privacy addons. Perhaps Google doesn't like people using addons to prevent them from collecting data on users so it makes the site not work. But I put all my addons back and it is working normally.

...try clearing your Firefox cache and deleting your saved cookies for the site.

1. Clear Firefox's Cache-- Firefox button or Tools menu > Options > Advanced > Network mini-tab > Offline Storage : click "Clear Now"

2. If needed, delete the site's cookies-- While viewing a page on the site, right-click and choose View Page Info > Security > "View Cookies" > Remove Cookies Then try reloading the page.

Hope this helps.

the resolution was a bit...drastic. Googling this problem it seems fairly common with no set solution.
