Windows 8.1 (Blue) is now out for testing

Be sure to use the product key on the page to install it. The OS now lets you boot directly to desktop.

As I said about 8. It does install, boot, and shut down faster-those are its good points. Having to go through extra steps to change or even access some settings is not an improvement. Having the OS geared to touchscreen on a regular computer is a PITA.

That was my biggest complaint about Win8. I was perfectly happy with Win7, but I've adjusted now with a few tweaks on my taskbar. They need to just go ahead and redo the start button exactly as it was with Win7.

Win8 = a solution in search of a problem. They should have just done a separate version for tablets and phones and called it a day.

on edit: Win8.1 messed up my printer, so back to Win8 I go.
