I need help with a new outlook email problem.

I have had an old hotmail account for over ten years. I have come to use it as a data storage place for old files, photos, contacts and up to date resume's. I have over 1200 saved email dating the life of the account. Never a problem. A little over week ago I got a lock out notice that looked like this..

Call us overprotective...
...but we need to make sure you can receive a security code if you ever lose access to this account. Learn more.
Where should we send your code?
I have a code

Embedded in this was what looked like one of my vary old home phone numbers with the option to send the code to that number.

Over the years of shit media, I limit the ways they shove that crap at me. First, TV gone. I am at about 4yrs without. Most other devises fallowed. At this point I am at about 15mo. without a dumb smart phone.

This notice gives no other option than Texting a code. I am now locked out of my account and I really want to call them and "YELL" let them know how pissed I am, but all I can do is go around and around with this unforgiving notice. I am clueless and vary angry.

PS. my low post count is vary much an indicator of my limited computer skill.

The link for support was just as frustrating as being blocked. I got nothing but run around to the same pages. What I really loved was seeing other replies from their tech support saying they would investigate. What is clear is they do not give a crap about the hassle they are causing. This strikes me as a shake down to get old hotmail users to start paying. Whatever their trip is, this is hurting me and I am vary vary pissed. Is there some number I can call and yell at someone.
