Here I am again, old lady needs advice.

I am trying to be brave enough to un-install and re-install both my printer
(HP Desk-jet 4180 PSC) and my miserable Kodak camera. (M1063)
I have posted before about the printer and camera and have been advised to un-install and re-install both. My print in MS word is so tiny I can hardly read it.
My Kodak camera may be a hopeless case. It never worked well and I am about ready to toss it.

My question.
RE: UN-install. Would it be best to do so from 'list of programs', Control Panel or try and do so with 'Revo'. Revo has changed and I'm a little insecure working with their changed format.
Will a normal un-install from Control panel or list of programs do the job or will it leave junk that will interfere in the re-install.

My (PSC) scanner no longer works, and the regular print for MS word is so tiny I can hardly read it. Print preview is tiny but as I type a document, the size looks normal. Copy function is OK.

Some kind folks on DU have given me the re-install advice but I'd like to be better prepared for the un/re-install. Tomorrow is D-Day.

I have the original disk for both.
I'm afraid I will mess up the PSC and have no $$$ to buy a new one. The camera may be beyond fixing. My daughter tried to do a reinstall for the camera and said there was something wrong with the disk. Who knows!
As always, help is appreciated.

(caveat: it WILL leave a lot of junk, registry entries, probably scramble some of the program files, etc. But it shouldn't interfere with a re-installation. After uninstalling, I would suggest defragmenting your disk, which will probably overwrite the scrambled files. (IIRC, you have Win XP? From Start=>Programs=>Accessories=>System Tools=>Disk Defragmenter.) Then re-install from your disk. Let us know how it goes, or if you need any more help! Good Luck!
