I need help in gettting rid of my InternetToolbar that reflects a "Anti Virus" program

I want to remove.

Apparently, since this anti virus program somehow installed a very major toolbar on my computer's internet, I can't remove the anti virus program until I remove the toolbar end of it. Then and only then will I be able to use the Control Panel to remove it.

The toolbar sits right below the normal URL dialogue box. Any help on removing it would be appreciated.

The exact steps will depend on which browser you are using. ManiacJoe Dec 2013 #1

Right-click on the tools bars may bring up a menu to disable the toolbar.
You might need to go into the plug-in manager.

And when I clicked on that icon, it allowed the toolbar to be disabled and removed.

Thanks so very much.

And I prefer not to say.

Probably a lot of browsing programs use stuff similar to MS Internet Explorer. Sort of like how lined paper is a good idea, and many paper manufacturers realized that.

At the top right where it says "view by" click to the right and change it to small icons.

Click programs and features.

After it loads, scroll down the list of installed programs and remove all things that say "toolbar" in the name.

Reboot.

The solution was actually much easier than that.

A little gear icon (looks like a gear wheel) and it was near the end of the URL toolbar - I simply clicked that and two different toolbar descriptions came up, and I clicked on the one I didn't like

In any event, Season's Greetings.
