Are you accidentally touching the controls to tell it to shuffle? I never set to shuffle. freshwest Mar 2013 #3

I don't know if I can help with your model as mine is the old 8gig nano iPod. It follows what I tell it to do from the iTunes settings and my choices when I charge it up off the iMac.
