When I click on help in Excel

I get a response saying my version (2016) should be upgraded. various packages available, one at $70 per year. Others more expensive. Has anyone done this? And would you have to renew every year? Doesn't sound like a good deal to me. Just wanted to get some input from more experienced users here.

1. I use Microsoft office 365

Its 9.99 a month and Id always up to date. Sure, subscriptions annoy me but this one makes sone sense.

2. If it works for you w/no issues, don't bother. I use 2016 and it's fine.

3. No need to use the Help Function. The answer to every Excel issue is on the web.

I do "rent" Office 365 nowadays for all the apps. But if I only needed Excel, I'd just keep using 2016.

4. My version is from 2008

I loathe anything from Microsoft Office and only use it because my clients do. Someday -- and that day is coming -- I'm going to have to upgrade.

6. Switch to LibreOffice...

All the functionality of Microsoft Office, files interchangeable with Microsoft Office, and best of all:

100% free.
