An odd problem with my iPhone 11: It has stopped ringing when someone calls me.

I've missed two important calls because the ring doesn't happen. The calls go to voicemail.

Not sure what I did to cause this!

If you move it toward the screen, it rings. If you move it away from the screen it silences the phone.

It's completely inert.

12. If it is not ringing OR vibrating AT ALL, but going straight to voice mail, then here are the steps

to take to find the reason and correct it: (the most obvious would be if airplane mode had been toggled on but there are others). Also read the section about toggling FOCUS mode on and off (a pretty recent feature that is not hard to accidentally activate).

20. Maybe have a friend call you and see if it works? I have a 13pro and it sometimes does not

ring. I caught a call when I saw the light from the notification but no ring.. I'll do the on/off think..

Go to settings.
Select Phone
Look for Silence unknown callers.
Set toggle to off.

If this function is on, when those in your contacts call. It will ring otherwise silent.
If this function is off, all callers will ring.

If your daughter's call rang, that would indicate this is the problem.
