Help with iPhoto?

When I click on the icon, iPhoto opens to a blank screen and all I get is the colorful rotating ball. No albums are visible. I have to force quit to end it.

When I plug in my camera, nothing happens. Usually, iPhoto opens and asks if I want to import the pictures.

I also can't drag any pics into iPhoto, as I have been able to in the past.

Any ideas? I hate to have to pack up my whole computer and take it to the Apple store.

Thanks.

Close everything, shut down and restart. That frequently solves problems like this.

Run Disk Utility, and Software Update.

What OS, hardware, etc?

Never heard of it.

Ran Software Update, Restart. I've done that several times. No change.

Where's Disk Utility?

Image Capture is an application. It is in your Application folder.

Disk Utility is also in the Application folder.

Use Search in Finder if you can't find them.

What machine are you using? Click the Apple icon, upper left hand corner, and copy what it says "About this Mac."
