Know anything about APK's?

I just moved to Directv Stream because satellite prices have gone through the roof. I can save $100 a month by migrating to streaming.
Here is the issue...I use Nvidia Shields as my streaming boxes because they are head and shoulders the best boxes one can purchase. Directv, however, does not support them, even though they say they do. I know...I asked explicitly before I decided to make this move.

I have researched this thoroughly and it seems you can download an APK and make the Shields work with Directv Streaming, but for the life of me, I can't get it to work.

Does anyone have any experience with using APK's on your streaming service?

* btw, before I found out that Directv does not support Nvidia Shield or Fire Sticks, I spent an hour on the phone with customer service, expert team, to figure out the problem...they NEVER told me that it was not supported, but instead gave me a workaround that lasted about 10 mins, then reverted to the original problem.

Here is a brief description of what has changed and how it affects some devices.

Is it possible to merge/install split APK files (AKA "app bundle&quot , on Android device itself, without root?

...The questions
What is the way to merge those all into one APK file?

Is it possible to install split APK files without root and without PC ? This was possible in the past on backup apps such as Titanium, but only on normal APK files, and not app bundle (split apk).

EDIT: I've set a bounty. Please, if you know of a solution, show it. Show something that you've tested to work. Either of merging split APK files, or installing them , all without root and right on the device.

EDIT: Sadly all solutions here didn't work, with or without root, and that's even though I've found an app that succeeded doing it (with and without root), called "SAI (Split APKs Installer)" ...

Searching for work-arounds was pretty much a waste of time. It seems that APKs are going the way of P2P, Napster, torrents,,,

Had a bad experience with Direct TV a while ago. It's what AT&T offered for wideband at the time. Included a free trial of TV. We cancelled after two weeks. Direct TV claimed we didn't and wouldn't come and get their equipment. Then withdrew over $300
from our bank account. We never gave direct TV that bank info. AT&T probably gave it to them without our authorization. The bank reversed the charges.

Direct TV tried to collect from us via a debt collector. Fuckers. Fuck that company, (and AT&T). Good luck cancelling.

I wasn't happy when At&T took over Directv, but I've adapted. Sorry you had a bad experience.
