14. a valid point

everyone.. do use the 'man' (manual) command 1st to make sure you understand what the command is. that said, so far everything is harmless on any *nix.

p.s. i got the original idea from a 'linux command-line tips & tricks' page. nothing nefarious.

17. If you're not sure whether "whatis" is safe, yes, you probably shouldn't do that

But you also probably shouldn't open a terminal in that case, either...
