Just my opinion
Every day more people turn away from the TV for real information. TV news has become a joke for many as it's seen a propaganda, much like the way the news was perceived in the old Soviet Union prior to its demise. Unlike the Soviet Union we have the Internet and social media to exchange ideas and root out information.
Unfortunately for Hillary Clinton, she's still behind the curve like she was in 08, still running a 1990s style campaign 15 years later.
The idea of raising tons of corporate cash, with its requisite paybacks, to run TV ads is passe. The advent of the Internet, social media and the TV remote have rendered the 1990's campaign model weak if not moot.
Don't get me wrong, I'll vote for Hillary if she gets the nod because the alternative is hideous, but if she wants to succeed she has to abandon the Third Way approach to campaigning. Give the masses something they can grasp and will work toward their benefit.
The Republican Party in its current incarnation seeks to divide and conquer as Machiavelli prescribed, appealing to the worst fears and lowest instincts through its propaganda network of Pox News and hate radio. Their ever shrinking demographic of fearful angry low information voters will soon be in History's dust bin. Whoever seizes the initiative in social media will prevail. Machiavelli didn't have WiFi and broadband.
