Did the CO Democratic Establishment needed Hickenlooper when they could have settled on-

Mike Johnston, former state senator and 2018 Democratic candidate for CO governor- finished in 2nd place.
They could have asked Ed Perlmutter- US House member from a suburban Congressional District for more than 10 years. Perlmutter has the same physical background as Hickenlooper.
They could have asked and supported Crisanta Duran- the recent former Speaker of CO State House of Representatives. Duran would have been the first female US Senator from CO if she remained in the US Senate race.
