2. The other option is Charles Grassley's grandson Pat Grassley.

3. If, and it's a huge if, Grassley decides not to run

he will support Patrick, who as Speaker of the Iowa House, is far better known than Hinson. There is no way she could beat him in a primary.

I think it far more likely he will run himself. If Reynolds wins again, he may then retire if she agrees to appoint Patrick rather than herself.
