If Democrats lose the NH US Senate seat in 2022, Can they win it back in 2028?

Sununu-R is going to be the incumbent during the 2028 US Senate Race.
The Democratic nominee will be US Representative Chris Pappas.
Sununu-R vs Pappas-D race will be a Democratic pickup.

would win the seat in 2022. You can’t have Hassan win in 2022, and have Sununu be the incumbent in 2028.
