(251 posts)That should be a very easy win for Senator Leahy.
My question is, what is his health status? As most of us recall, Sen. Leahy had a definite challenge not so long ago. I just hope he is healthy enough to remain in office. If he could not continue in office, a Republican Governor would appoint his successor.
As distinguished a career as he's had, it's too bad he didn't consider retiring, as I believe that would still be a safe Democratic seat.
This is my understanding. I would welcome input from anyone with recent updates on his status.
