Can anyone tell me why Schrader(OR) lost his party's nomination by a wider margin than

Cawthorn(NC) lost his party’s nomination?

Schrader(OR) lost by a 41-59.
Cawthorn(NC) lost by a 34-32-34(other)

Cawthorn was an embarrassment to the Republican Party or the Republican Party was an embarrassment before Cawthorn.

What was Schrader’s crime?

Did Schrader have a Manchin/Sinema voting record?

From Democratic Leadership?
In recent House primaries, Nancy Pelosi saved Henry Cuellar but threw Kurt Schrader to the wolves. Now what?

Jamie McLeod-Skinner, an emergency response coordinator, small business owner, engineer, attorney, and proud democrat, has focused her career on rebuilding communities and protecting our natural resources. A former union member with working-class roots, she is an outspoken advocate for climate justice, reproductive rights, racial justice, working families, and bridging the urban-rural divide.

Jamie began her public service repairing schools and hospitals in Bosnia and Kosovo before returning to the U.S. to manage refugee resettlement and organizational capacity building programs. She has led organizational change, mediated community disputes, and managed teams through crises. In 2021, Jamie led wildfire recovery efforts as Talent’s Interim City Manager, bringing in millions of dollars in aid and emergency housing.

Jamie holds a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, a Master’s in Regional Planning, and a law degree with a focus on Natural Resources Law. She serves as an elected board member of the Jefferson County Education Service District, a board member of the Northwest Health Foundation, and she was appointed by Governor Kate Brown to serve on the Oregon Watershed Enhancement Board.

In her 2018 congressional race, Jamie inspired Democrats with the largest voter swing in the country (+26%). Along with her 2,600 volunteers, she raised $1.3 million in primarily small donations, without taking Big Pharma or fossil fuel PAC money.
