Obama’s job-approval rating is highest since summer

'Obama’s job-approval rating is highest since summer, Post-ABC poll finds'
http://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/obamas-job-approval-ratings-show-signs-of-improvement-post-abc-poll-finds/2011/12/19/gIQAdArC5O_story.html

"Obama’s job-approval rating is now its highest since March, excluding a temporary bump after the killing of Osama bin Laden: Forty-nine percent approve, and 47 percent disapprove."

"Perhaps more important to the battle over the payroll tax cut, Obama has regained an advantage over Republicans in Congress when it comes to protecting the middle class. In the new poll, 50 percent say they trust Obama on this issue, compared with 35 percent who choose the GOP — a major change from last month, when the two sides were more evenly matched on the question."

35% support for the GOP on the economy is still about 35% too high...

is very impressive. If he can sustain anything close to this through 2012 he will sail to a second term.

Koch's assholes facist's intentions are finally oozing out into the American Psyche. Of course they will double down 'cause they're scared of the teabaggers' revenge more than what the People think of them.

Hopefully this will translate into MANY MANY VOTES in 2012 Across the Board.

Thanks for the Good On PObama News, 23!

but I would like that number to be as high as possible because the goal is not
only to get Obama re-elected, but to give him a solid majority in Congress
that he can work with.

That should be the goal.

his way from the media (remember the Pew studies that discovered that the president's coverage is negative I think something like 9 times more often than it is positive?) his deranged detractors on the right and his handful of fair-weather friends on the left, for him to be in positive territory 11 months before the election is very encouraging.

And if Gingrich keeps opening his mouth, the president's approval may go even higher.
