This Shutdown isn’t about Obamacare…it’s about OBAMA

snip

THAT is why, when one looks back at the list of accomplishments by President Obama in his first term in office..

They were done WITHOUT GOP votes.

snip

This country has been forced to run itself on continuing resolutions.

The President said the other day that the two things the House of Representatives are charged with are the following:
1. Produce a budget
2. Pay the bills the United States runs up

And, they have DELIBERATELY been AWOL with both duties.

The party that inherited a BUDGET SURPLUS from Bill Clinton and didn’t two shyts about budget deficits as they:
1. Lied us into not one, but TWO wars that were kept ‘ off the books’
2. Put in place tax cuts during wartime – something NEVER EVER done before
3. Put in place the unpaid for Medicare Part D

The Rest Here.

BTW, did I ever tell you about the time I got turned down for a job strictly on the basis of my SS#? HR looked at me and said w/o blinking an eye, "You meet and even exceed our requirements, but your social has too many 6's in a row." That was in AZ.

I've heard it all.

I've read the op/eds that argue that this is basically the South attempting to re-litigate the Civil War. I believe one writer who described himself as an ex-GOPer called it "neo-Confederate insurrectionists." So many of these essays wind up tracing the problem back to its source: racism. Also - the growing realization and accompanying outrage over the demographic changes taking place from coast to coast, in which non-whites are becoming more numerous while white (especially while male) demographic dominance is steadily shrinking as a power base. And as their fury and resentment grows, some of 'em start acting out.

Republicans serve The Beast.

From the dawn of mankind they are the regressive element that's been holding back and destroying our civilization.

They nourish other-dimensional entities that feed on misery, pain, and chaos.

Republicans are their minions, and hope to share in these entities' power, or be spared the pain.

But The Beast never shares; The Beast never spares.

NBachers claimed this as his writing, IIRC. And I think he was really onto something there. JMHO.

life and family makes so many on the right, look so damned bad. They are all so nasty, with all their dirty, little secrets but unable to get a whiff of dirt on Obama or Michelle, causes huge resentment.

That's so typical of how small, rotten people handle someone like our POTUS.........

It may have just started out that a black democrat won the WH, that they wanted to ruin. But between winning twice, then add how stellar he and his family are, just sent the narrow little minds into a frenzy of hate.

27. Did Bush II add $10.6T to Total Public Debt?
Fri Oct 11, 2013, 12:10 AM
Oct 2013
...Let’s briefly go back to the beginning of Bill Clinton’s era 1993 - 2001. In 1993 Clinton signed into law, with the help of Al Gore’s senate tie breaking vote, The Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act of 1993, a.k.a. The Deficit Reduction Act of 1993. This is no small achievement: every Republican in Congress voted against this bill. Sound familiar? It, together with a progressive tax structure resulted in what we all can freely look up as historical annual budget surpluses at the end of the last millennium....

Obama inherits
January 20, 2009 10,626,877,048,913.08 8th

It appears quite normal to see that debt is increasing. Clinton saw an increase of $1.6T. Bush II saw an increase of $4.9T. Bad huh! Unfortunately, that's the picture we're told, but it's missing one key element that will inflame that last number. This is the part of the analysis that’s always left out. CBO baseline budget and economic outlook (pg 17) forecast from 07/01/2000 estimated a budget surplus (2001 - 2010) of $5.7T, in 01/31/2001 was revised out to 2011 to be $5.6T* and on 12/28/2000 Clinton announced that Total Public Debt could be paid off by end of the decade...assuming tax policy and economic conditions remained unchanged and positive. <wiki: Change in debt position since 2001> 2012 DU thread

You got that right sheshe2! Rethugs are always against America and do nothing but inflict pain and suffering. For their troubles, they raid the U.S. Treasury, gerrymander their districts, line their pockets, lie, cheat and steal their way to the top, America be damned!

But it is not...the racist tea party is just a tool.
The movers and shakers don't give a shit who is president, what they care about is money and power, and getting policies that they want.
If you remember they did the same to Clinton...spent millions on investigating him in Whitewater until they caught him in a lie about sex...then they had him and he had to give them what they wanted...NAFTA for one...But he was white, and they could not use the racist against him like they are doing now.

It is a game of control, and they don't care who is in office as long as they can control him...and all of this is about control.

But money is power, and they have lots of it.
And I am sure they have a plan, and that plan will work whether the GOP is in trouble or not.
If you got a billion to spend you can get anything you want...like someone said, you can hire half the people to kill the other half if you got that much money.
And this will continue until we free our government from the influence of big money.

The Movement Conservatives -- the hard-core people like Ed Meese, Roger Ailes, Grover Norquist, Newt Gingrich, Hindenburg, etc. -- have had a long-term strategy to de-legitimize Democrats as a governing party. You can see it in action every time FOX puts a "D" in front of the name of a Republican caught in a scandal, in the scaremongering about "ACORN voter fraud", and in the relentless attack-mode they shifted to against two sitting Democratic presidents.

A lot of people in Washington and other political circles managed to convince themselves that all the attacks on Bill Clinton were actually about Bill Clinton and his foibles, and not bullshit sprayed about just to associate him with a foul odor. Nope, they wrote it all off as "Bill Clinton was a polarizing figure" and weren't ready for it when the same bullshit started up again, this time with racism and xenophobia on top.

Yes, it's about Obama, but even more it is about what Obama and all Democrats represent in their hallucinating heads.

I worried about the RR campaign's chances that they might be able to pull it off despite our best efforts. We saw their GOTV people out doing the same neighborhoods we were doing. And the RR campaign, the polls, the talking heads, all showed a close race.

They didn't win, of course and our hard GOTV volunteer work paid off. But before the results of state elections rolled in, there was a pit. What if?

Reflection. It makes me even more thankful that Barack Obama is America's president, our president today.

It’s a thought that lingers with me plenty of times. Especially the GOP Bush era, it’s not just the dark side of secrecy and war profiteering there is a feeling to a relation an inured condition to that mind of white Aryan exploitation abuse or divine recklessness. Many of us know and realize that divine transition of black to white the mystery of dark and light revealed through a natural mathematical logic or reasoning, the calculus of life.

The GOP grand dragon with a deep dark middle earth mentality in similar respects to J.R. Tolkens middle earth, those draconian beings lusting for war the Sith GOP with staff in hand continually ponding the floor to jack shift our young population into cultural war zombies dedicated and proselytize into political metal awards cannoned that perpetuates grief under the system of national security political capital.

The Bush economy of secret national security political capital endorsed by the American Imams of the Supreme Court not only needs exorcism it is separation of the corporate and state similarly along lines with the separation of church and state of the first amendment. All this secret money by corporate tyrannies needs to be amended. Then and only then the terrorist corporate war zombies will disappear.
