Michelle Obama nixes future presidential bid as she promotes education

http://www.reuters.com/article/us-music-obama-girls-idUSKCN0WI238

U.S. first lady Michelle Obama said on Wednesday she has no intention to run for president and plenty of plans to affect change once she leaves the White House next January.

Obama made the remarks at the South by Southwest music festival in Austin, Texas, where she released a single, along with singers Kelly Clarkson, Janelle Monae and former "Glee" star Lea Michele, in support of her worldwide girls' education initiative.

"There are so many ways to impact the world. You don’t have to be president of the United States to do wonderful, marvelous things," Obama said at a panel discussion on empowering women at the festival, known as SXSW.

"I will not run for president," Obama, 52, said when asked about her post-White House plans.

look for a legislative/state exec gig first before shooting for the POTUS slot.

That's how most people do it--of course, on the GOP side, we have Trump, and had Carson and two-time loser Fiorina--2 out of 3 without political experience are toast. Let's hope that Trump pops out of the toaster soon, too~!

She had a pretty good job before she became FLOTUS. I wouldn't be surprised if she misses doing the lawyering and the high-powered biz thing, just a bit.

She has about ten years of pleasant smiling to get off her chest.

If the Obamas hang on in Washington for a while, she could do something with Madame President!
