Wonderful pep talk by Obama in Afghanistan!

For those who haven't turned on a TV, BHO made a surprise trip to Afghanistan to sign a security pact w/Karzai; then went to Baghram to address the troops/shake hands, and he will be addressing the nation this evening in a bit more than an hour.

1. I watched the noon news in Chicago, and they didn't say a word about it.

2. CNN had it 'near-live' and MSNBC had excerpts.

He'll be speaking to the nation at around seven thirty eastern.

3. All I've heard so far (and I've been out all day) is

we'll be in Afghanistan until 2024. My jaw dropped. I sure hope that's wrong.
