Why don't we know anything about Obama's girlfriends?

Sorry to dumb down the conversation, but an email blast was sent out to several of my coworkers this morning asking the following:
1) Why have no former girlfriends come forward?
2) Who was the Best Man at Obama's wedding?

I assume Barack Obama may have been too busy with personal ambitions for much personal time, but I'd like to reply to this inane questioning with something substantive.

Any input, anyone?

I'm 24 and I only just started dating my first girlfriend ever and my Dad's first girlfriend was my mom. Not everyone goes through a bunch of different girlfriends in their lives.

Why don't they just watch the speeches at the DNC (preferably on C-Span) and make up their own minds instead of letting pundits and conspiracy whackos do their thinking for them.

I read this Mariniss' book. His romance with Cook was detailed with extensive, intimate details from diaries.
