Many of us remember Jackeens, some of us still know her work.

She remains a dedicated supporter of the President, and took a LOT of abuse over it four years ago.

The abuse was enough, in fact, for her to stay away from DU permanently-- or maybe she visits still.

In any event, to all who may stumble upon this post, please hold a good thought for our friend, Jackeens.

5. Those are wonderful. I didn't see those and sorry she was made to feel unwelcome for chronicling

those moments in time, which are a part of American history. And I've just looked through the first page there. I bookmarked it.

Obama's ability to connect with the soldiers, and so many people, reminds me of some special people I've known in my life who were able to show those around them heartfelt approval and respect. There are many who brush others away and walk on by, or don't open themselves up.

She left DU because of all the hate that infested her Photo-Journal Threads but it was the best thing that could have happened for our Democracy. Her Obama Diary attracks some of the best politically informed people in the Nation. They actually do the social networking of holding the US "media" accountable for their incompetence. And, Call to Action for Congress is in their blood. They're all very inspiring and encouraging!

As you can imagine.. trolls are swiftly dealt with.

During the 2008 democratic primary, after I expressed my support for then Senator Obama, a group of DUers hounded me, too. Several attempted to organize a drive to have me expelled from the forum. One person even spread the rumor that I was actually Patrick Buchanan, trying to lead forum members astray.

And it's a damn shame that she was run off because she was considered a "fangirl" because of her support for Obama. To be honest, the admiration and dare I say LOVE I hear from other non-Americans towards our president certainly mirrors the support that he got from Jackeens so she was in no way unusual. She was just smart.

Her presence here is missed. But I don't blame her one bit for staying away. She and Cleo the Leo used to make GD-P alot of fun. Both are gone now (unless I've just missed Cleo's postings).
