Robert Otis Hoskins, 39, of Ocala, Florida, was arrested last week after police were called to his home following reports Hoskins had broken into his neighbor's home to steal clothes.

Marion County Sheriff's deputies found the half-naked suspected burglar outside his home last week. When confronted, Hoskins allegedly screamed "I condemn you" at a sheriff's deputy and threw a Bible at him.The Bible landed squarely in the deputy's face and jaw, the arrest affidavit reads.

Authorities say Hoskins then defecated on himself while he was detained, and allegedly told them God told him to break into his neighbor's home. Hoskins said he was trying to free his neighbor's underage daughter, as directed by God.The arrest report also includes Hoskins' wife saying he "does have a drug problem."

If Washington State were ever to become synonymous with these clowns, I'd move somewhere else...

2. Florida, at least in part, 'looks bad' because they have very open records afa arrests go

Reporters scour these free, available public records to come up with so many instances of people acting cray in that state. It's cheap copy, and it's fun.

Almost every other state has more restrictions about the records of arrests that happen within them than FL. Also, FL is one of the larger/more populous states in general.

In reality, it may not be all that much crazier than other states on a per-capita basis. We just don't hear about their crazy nearly as much.

It's a wonder arrest records aren't withheld more.

But then the sheriffs wouldn't have such bragging rights.

I don't have research on craziness per quota, nor is that something I'm going to pursue! I'm just trying to stay on an even keel personally.

6. Just to clarify, I wasn't knocking Florida as much as the "cult"

that views the Bible as both a weapon and a membership badge in said cult of hate, resentment and contempt for all others.
