Flight diverted and passenger removed after singing Whitney Houston songs on plane.

An American Airlines flight from Los Angeles to New York was diverted to Kansas City International Airport Thursday because of an unruly passenger, according to a person on the flight.

A man on the on the flight said he took video of a woman screaming and singing.

KMBC's Matt Flener reported that the video shows what appear to be Kansas City airport police coming on board the plane and removing a woman.

The man who uploaded this video to YouTube said the woman screamed for an hour on the flight and was singing a Whitney Houston song.

Flener reported that the man who shot the video tweeted that he had his headphones in and the volume up, but he could still hear the woman screaming.

Kansas City Aviation Department officials said that the woman was non-compliant with a federal air marshal and was restrained.

The woman told authorities that she is diabetic and her behavior was a result of her condition.

The flight landed in Kansas City just after 6 p.m. Flight records showed that plane was on the ground for about an hour before continuing to its original destination.
