Woman Used A Potato For Contraception And It Grew Roots In Her Vagina

A young Colombian woman who believed an old wives’ tale paid the price.

The 22-year-old received medical attention after a potato germinated in her vagina, causing temporary medical complications.

She told medical staff that her mother had always told her spuds could be a method of contraception.

My mum told me that if I didn’t want to get pregnant, I should put a potato up there. I believed her.
