(see tape) while their reporter at the Vatican explains that the note was actually for the entire conference and was likely in reference to the two South American leaders he would have liked to meet with.

(15,690 posts)I've had very little admiration for Mrs Greenspan for a very long time. This just eroded the last bit.
Facts matter, Mrs Greenspan and MSNBC!

(15,690 posts)if you wish and generally I would agree with you. But you don't know me at all, so I suggest that you not judge me based on my remark towards THIS woman whom I do not respect in the least. I have good reason for saying it.
If I called her what I really want to, THAT would truly be sexist by any measure.

(98,883 posts)life partners, that being Mr. Greenspan, who was a huge Ayn Rand fan, was the point I suspect the poster was making, and like Mr. Greenspan, Ms. Mitchell's accuracy in describing things, may not be a true representation of the facts.
I know, why should I interject myself into this?
Because I just wanted to throw my two cents in why I believe the comment was meant more on a political level rather than a derogatory sexist insinuation

(27,633 posts)"The Pope's ecclesiastical jurisdiction, the Diocese of Rome, is often called "the Holy See" or "the Apostolic See", the latter name being based upon the belief that the Bishop of Rome is the successor of Peter the Apostle. The Pope is considered one of the world's most powerful people because of his diplomatic and cultural influence. He is also head of state of Vatican City, a sovereign city-state entirely enclaved within the Italian capital city of Rome."

He is also the spiritual leader of over 1.2 Billion Roman Catholics.
There have been good popes and some pretty awful popes over the 1900 years of the papacy. I think Francis has certainly showed signs of being a transformational pope for the good.
