http://www.democraticunderground.com/10027785297You know, I was very disappointed in 2008 and yet I understood that one candidate just happened to beat the other candidate.

(10,237 posts)...for the past few months the Sanders supporters have attempted to make this site into "BernieUnderground" with a litmus test of blind and totally unquestioning loyalty to the NON Democrat seeking the DEMOCRATIC nomination!

(50,918 posts)I always think worse of people who post "look at me!" threads. I tend to think they are attention mongers. Because of the attention mongering they do.

(42,862 posts)... except for the self-satisfaction of believing that "snubbing" the party actually makes a difference.
I believe that CT is a closed primary state, so when the next "Bernie Sanders" comes along to pick up where the first Bernie Sanders left off, this attention-seeker has only punished and marginalized themselves.
There's little doubt that we'll hear about it again when they come back here to wail and moan about how "unfair" it is that they can't vote for their preferred Democrat in a future presidential primary.
It's this type of impulsive, temperamental and short-sighted behavior that helps to illustrate why it is that Bernie is having such a difficult time ... and why any candidate that appeals to this type of person will ALSO struggle.
