And, there it is..
The truly disgusting part about Bernie's contested convention aspirations is how he thinks he's entitled to override the will of POC/women.

(1,359 posts)Was there a list? I'm asking because I bet I can tell whether Salon has "sobered up" after Bernie based on which writers they retained and which they ejected. If Marcotte was fired, it's a bad sign for Salon's future.
Edit: She appears to have a fresh column out today, posted around noonish EST. Just an FYI.

Liberal web magazine Salon underwent a series of layoffs Tuesday amid increasing budget constraints, Politico reports.
A total of six staffers were fired in the shakeup, including long-time assistant managing editor Ruth Henrich. Henrich had been at Salon for nearly two decades.
Salon Media Group took steps that we believe will put the company on a stronger path forward, Salon CEO Cindy Jeffers said in a statement. We made the difficult decision to reduce our staff, in addition to other budgetary cuts. We hope these steps will move us in the direction of profitability and align us more closely with our strategy.
Former editor in chief Joan Walsh took to Twitter to mourn Henrichs loss in particular.
Haha! Thanks for letting me know about AM's new article...

(1,359 posts)enough women in the first place to justify losing 2, and that's assuming that the other 4 aren't women as well, to make room in the budget for all of the anti-Clinton men Salon has been hiring this whole primary season!
I don't see any info on the other 4, though, so I can only assume it was 6-for-6 on firing women. It wouldn't surprise me, though.

(1,359 posts)Before I stopped going to Salon completely, Amanda Marcotte was always held up by the BernieBros as "proof" that Salon had a pro-Clinton bias. One female author who was openly pro-Clinton somehow made up for the FIVE male authors who were pro-Bernie. (I could never tell if the BernieBros understood that they were arguing that it takes 5 of them to equal 1 woman, but hey, Bros aren't governed by a little thing I like to call "logic."
Salon has been deleted from my collection of News bookmarks, and on every device I have too. They went over the line with their articles (not even referring to the LOL Goodman reposts, I mean their original content by their staff writers), and I'm not going to be fooled into going back there ever again.
