Hillary Clinton
Related: About this forumCNN Wolf Blitzer just said that Sanders Indiana win will not change the delegate math and the only
question now is how Sanders will end his campaign...whether he will do it in a way that helps Hillary or hurts her.

(3,737 posts)doesn't want to alienate his supporters. The GOP hasn't attacked him because they would love to run against a tax raising, not terribly bright socialist who wrote about naked children and rape fantasies (and who, just like Trump, won't release his tax returns). My only question is this: Does Bernie actually believe that he wouldn't be attacked if he was the front runner or nominee...or does he realize that his line "I can beat Trump because I have no negatives" is a bunch of crap. Arrogance or stupidity in the bubble?

(5,705 posts)BS is 984 delegates behind. Hillary is only 200 delegates from winning the nomination. Wolf is telling it like it is.

(1,446 posts)Springs polls which claim to project the November general election are historically wrong. In Sander's case, he has many things in his background that could be significant problems in a race with Trump...things that no Democrat wants to acknowledge because it would be divisive to the party.
At this point he just looks like a stubborn, old man who is enjoying his role as spoiler. The only glint of hope is that if he remains uncooperative, it will be easy for the Hillary campaign to throw him under the bus when Trump starts using the Sander's lines against her. Trump says "Here's what a fellow Democrat said about you..." and Hillary's campaign can answer that "He has proven that he is no Democrat."

(51,550 posts)Certainly he underperformed in a state tailor-made for him: open primary and overwhelmingly white, and Hillary didn't spend a penny on ads while he carpet-bombed IN with negative ads against Hillary.

(2,897 posts)Now he needs to win an even larger amount of the remaining delegates. It should be around 67-68% when all the delegates are sorted.
