Hillary Clinton
Related: About this forumFor The Good of The Party, It's Time For The Uncommitted Supers To Commit
IIRC, there are just over 160 super delegates who have yet to commit to Sanders or Hillary.
Considering the damage Sanders is doing to Hillary these days - and considering that the Rs have their nominee through default - it is time for these party loyalists to step up and declare their support for Hillary or Sanders. The assumption is that the majority of these supers will break for Hillary. If that's their intent, then they need to make that clear, NOW, if for no other reason than to provide a reality check to the wild scenarios Sanders is entertaining these days about his chances of winning the nomination.
Enough is enough. He's been treated with kid gloves, allowed to run in D primaries as a DINO and is currently hurting the party and our nominee through his intransigence. Hell, Trump is using Sanders' anti-Hillary rhetoric against her!
We know who our opponent is, and it isn't Sanders, it's Trump. Time to commit to our nominee.
Let's move forward.

(11,581 posts)I know she doesn't want to alienate her base, many are Bernie supporters, but she could help give them the straight dope on the BS that has been flying from non other than Bernie. She is a real Democrat and will break for Hillary when it is "safe" for her. She wants to have it both ways, though. She needs to be the leader she pretends to be now.

(24,396 posts)and that it's now time for everybody to work together to get as many of those policies into the D platform that Hillary will run on.
BTW - I don't think for an instant that Sanders' ego would be swayed by anything EW said.

(30,058 posts)until the convention and I feel sure members like Donna Brazile will endorse Hillary at the proper time. A lot of those who have endorsed are members of Congress who worked with Sanders, they also worked with Hillary and they have endorsed because of they are familiar with the work habits of each. I don't have any doubt Hillary is not going to be the nominee, the convention will be soon, hopefully this party will unite and beat Trump.

(24,396 posts)a few more delegates for Sanders that do nothing to help him close the gap.
Time for the uncommitted supers to declare their allegiance and put an exclamation point on who is the D nominee.
