Anti-LGBTI officials in Mississippi have failed to appeal a ruling that found banning same-sex adoption unconstitutional, meaning gay adoption is now legal in all 50 US states. Presidential candidate Hillary Clinton was quick to tweet her support.

The attempt of the Mississippi Department of Human Services to outlaw same-sex adoption was blocked on the grounds that, like same-sex marriage bans, such laws violate the Equal Protection Clause of the United States Constitution.

Presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton was quick to react to the news on Twitter, posting: “Thrilled by this news. Every loving parent, no matter who they are, can now adopt kids in all 50 states.”

It’s a markedly different attitude to Clinton’s arch rival, Donald Trump, who in February told the Christian Broadcasting Network that he could be “trusted” to overturn the Supreme Court ruling in favor of same-sex marriage...................
