Hillary Clinton

that NO PERSON can EVER again run for President of the United States as a Democratic candidate using the resources and goodwill of the Democratic Party unless that person has been a member of the party for at least some period LONGER than a couple months' worth of that person's political life. I would suggest 4-5 years, at least.
This 2016 experiment has been a MAJOR FAIL.
That is not simply my opinion.

(15,445 posts)A fifth column is any group of people who undermine a larger groupsuch as a nation or a besieged cityfrom within, usually in favor of an enemy group or nation. The activities of a fifth column can be overt or clandestine. Forces gathered in secret can mobilize openly to assist an external attack. This term is also extended to organized actions by military personnel. Clandestine fifth column activities can involve acts of sabotage, disinformation, or espionage executed within defense lines by secret sympathizers with an external force.

I was one of those naive enough to believe in Bernie at the beginning, even though Hillary was always my candidate.
I believed until the deliberate attempts to overturn the NV caucus results when I was very disappointed. But since the "unqualified" remark about Hillary and all subsequent and continuing actions, I have been thoroughly and completely disenchanted. I may be a slow learner, but I finally get there.
Never again. Never.

(15,445 posts)In fact, I can honestly say that I was fairly neutral, with a slight "penchant" for HRC. Now, I don't want to see his blatantly duplicitous butt anywhere near the WH.

(1,580 posts)This happened in right in WI. I usually vote early and waited because I wasn't sure. The week before the primary he (1) hypocritally turned around on using SD (2) when asked to say something about Feingold HE DID NOT while Hilliary did. I wasn't sure on his plans but when I saw he wasn't even going to talk about the Senator and try to regain his seat, well that settled it. Then I heard about Nevada and pulling a Ted Cruz there. From there on I made it a point to start vetting Bernie.

(51,140 posts)There needs to be an incentive of some sort that will encourage them to change it. Maybe select one or two states and encourage all Democrats to vote in the Republican Primary. And of course for the wrong candidate. Then let the Republican Party know that it will happen in the next election too.

(297,774 posts)I don't care how much burnie & jane whine about it. If BS cares so much about Indies he should have ran as one.
He wins the caucuses but you don't see them whining about how they disenfranchise people.

(1,580 posts)I am registered in WI but not as a democrat. Definitely democrat leaning. While I voted early, just the Friday before the primary, I ended up taking my niece to the polls, since I had nagged her to vote. I went in to see what was taking so long and got into a discussion with one of the volunteers. There were voters who were asking if they could vote in both primaries.

(297,774 posts)set himself up to be so pure when nothing could be further from the truth.
Now he wants to be #burnietheanointedone either by trying to "flip the Super Dels" or #DropoutHillary.. anyway he can subvert the will of the People.
The truly disgusting part about Bernie's contested convention aspirations is how he thinks he's entitled to override the will of POC/women.

(51,140 posts)Since it happens at DNC Rules & Bylaws meetings and not at the convention it will require grassroots work in your area.
Let your Democratic county chair and other officers know the change is needed. Also, the Chair within your congressional district. It should also include a phone call to the top officers of the state party if you know them. Otherwise, send an email to the others lobbying for it.
The DNC committee consists of the state party chair and vice chair and state DNC members.
We may not be able to totally prevent them from running on the Democratic ticket but at least then they won't be able to use resources of the party.
BlueMTexpat
(15,374 posts)I know that I will let the county chair and the state chair that I worked with in MD know about this.
I will also be talking to DNC-connected people I know with the Dems Abroad here in Switzerland (ADACH). Those Dems I know here, even those who supported Bernie in the DA Global Primary, are furious right now. I've been a loyal ADACH member for years.

He has done nothing to indicate that he is a Democrat.
BlueMTexpat
(15,374 posts)beyond any doubt that he put a "D" after his name for one purpose and one purpose only - to run for the Democratic nomination.
Whether he will actually repudiate the party when he doesn't succeed is still up in the air, IMO.

(1,220 posts)The talk also enlightened me to the fact that the super delegates will not support Sanders, no matter what argument he uses. They are all dedicated, mostly life-long Dems who are very party oriented. Most do not trust Sanders to carry the party mantle.
