http://bluenationreview.com/iconic-image-of-hillary-supporter-running-gauntlet-of-protesters/The untold heroes of the 2016 election are the millions of Hillary supporters who, despite being disregarded, demeaned and marginalized, have carried Hillary to victory after historic victory.
In the face of a colossal onslaught, Hillarys voters have shown dignity, courage and resilience, defying relentlessly negative media narratives and personal attacks to express their support for Hillary. Their indomitability mirrors Hillarys.
The photo of a young women with her fists raised, proudly expressing her support for Hillary in the face of a group of (mostly) male anti-Hillary protesters, encapsulates the 2016 election. It conjures 227 years of history, as described in this moving Facebook comment:
When I voted in 2008 for Barack Obama, I was very aware of the people on whose shoulders I was standing. Casting that particular vote felt both sacred and solemn. When I cast my vote for Hillary Clinton for President, I will be casting a vote for my suffragette great-grandmothers, for my grandmothers who dared to enter male-dominated careers, for my mother who worked globally to bring healthcare to women and equal rights to all people, and for the young women who will stand on my shoulders.

Sometimes you're judged by the supporters you attract.
Sanders on top.
Trump on bottom.
Hostile and mean.

(11,583 posts)This woman's spirit is strong and proud and she is making it through. Unfortunately, that young boy (not in this picture) was scared to death and had to be consoled and protected. These guys that are bullying (I see a few girls, too) should be ashamed of themselves. Reality somehow has gone right over their heads. Hillary supporters and Hillary are not the problem--they are.

(1,788 posts)This whole season has been about Bernie supporters bullying and intimidating Hillary supporters, the people and groups who endorse her, people who want to correct her record from the lies, and even being critical of Bernie. They have swarmed, bullied and intimidated anyone and everyone, to the point where Hillary supporters just chose to not engage anymore. Their problem was they could not bully and intimidate in the voting booth...where it really matters. This wonderful, joyful woman represents all the Hillary supporters and how we feel...standing up and not taking it anymore from the "Berniebros."
