Is the General discussion Primary group getting even more nasty or is it just me?

I guess I'm going to have to trash it. I have been on several juries in the past few days and they were nasty nasty posts about Hillary that were voted to leave it alone. In some cases I was the only one who said to hide it. Makes me sad this place has been taken over by a faction of people who really don't care if we hand Trump the White House.

It is getting nastier.

I have noticed tho that it's only about a dozen
of the most hardcore BoB crowd that generates most of it.

Also a major uptick in the rumor mongering OPs.

I just keep reminding them that
math counts and the scoreboard says Hillary is
up hundreds of delegates and millions of votes.

Reaility based math seems to repel them.

Donald Trump could use this place as part of his campaign.

He hasnt thought up half of the attacks some here have of Hillary.

I had 0 hides until I made the mistake of going in there.
The number of truly scummy people got me to 4 hides in less than 2 weeks.
It doesn't help that so many of the Berniebros are such shrinking violets that they'll swarm to hide anything.
I'm really looking forward to the end of primary season and the massive happy GBCW posts. There are a lot of people I really won't miss when the adults get back.

I know I'm much less likely to donate again now, knowing that not only is the system going to be left in a state where outsiders can take it over, but zero effort is going to be made to address the takeover or fight its impact on rule-abiding members!

Yesterday there was an OP about the Hillary Supporters being too scared to post in GDP. It was eventually hidden but not before those petty little bullies piled on about how they were so much smarter, better and braver we are. I was thinking to myself "why would anyone want to send any time with people like this? I'm not afraid of them, just disgusted by them."

That's why they come here and troll our group. They have become meaningless without Hillary and her supporters to snipe at. The more you interact with them the better they like it. Otherwise, they are headed towards complete irrelevance in a matter of weeks!

Why DU is catering to the idiot fringe, I don't know, especially considering how many of them boast about not being Democrats, not supporting Democrats, and not planning to vote for the Democratic nominee in November!

There's already place on the internet for mindless emo-rage, and that place is Reddit.

Once in a while I'll go over for a laugh and poke a some ridiculous statement. But I never go back to see if anyone had something to say back. Why bother legitimizing a bunch of losers???

If we would stop wasting our time in GDP and built up this group more, we would have the power. Our candidate is about to win the nomination officially. By the end of June this group will be the main forum.

Instead of fight little battles we keep losing, why not win the war and do it on our ground????????????????

I rarely engage with them, and when I have, in all honesty without trying to be mean, the responses that I've had sound like they are coming from fourteen year old adolescents who have no idea that to have something, you have to pay for it.

I'm going to try harder to take your advice and just bide my time until Hillary is officially the nominee.

But once she is declared the nominee, the rules on DU should be enforced (i.e., support the candidate) and a lot of this utter bullshit will be a thing of the past. That's my hope, at least.

The only forums that are remotely readable for at this point are GD, the AA Group and of course, the always awesome Hillary Group. They are the only places you can find interesting and progressive discussions. There must be something very appealing about true liberal spaces because conservatives are always trying to invade them. And you never find the reverse to be true.

So, GDP is completely taken over and is becoming the same, constant, low brow, relentless, BORING drivel. Reminds me of a Nascar race. Smelly, loud, stupid cars going around and around the same track all day with mindless, intoxicated fans cheering it on. Every once in a while someone loses control and crashes into someone else but otherwise, there is no break in the monotony. It very much reminds me of a Trump rally.

I've received a bunch of personal attacks today because I didn't agree with Bernie Sanders. I happen to have a pretty thick skin but I'm amazed these people seem so clueless to the fact that insulting people doesn't win elections.

Honestly, I feel bad for most of them. Remember how you might have felt eight years ago, they are feeling that way now. Most of them will come around, Bernie raised quite a lot of excitement and enthusiasm with progressives. His supporters are emotionally crushed, and are willing to lash out. I'm not saying its right or wrong.

I don't see a need for Hillary folks to engage further, we will all be one team in about a month.
