Powerful words from John Fugelsang

http://all-hat-no-cattle.blogspot.com/

No one has the right to pass judgement on a woman's right to chose to stay or leave. It is not your decision, it is theirs. How ugly the derision. I thought it was bad from the right, sadly the chorus from some on the left echo's their thoughts. The absolute glee when smearing Hillary is pretty damn low. Actually it is beneath contempt. So many years later it is at the forefront again, trying to shame Hillary and call her an enabler. How painful and yes she feels the pain of the words so nastily tossed at her. Yet she rises above the hate. She is better and stronger than her haters, she has proved that time and again.

It all comes down to choice hers, a woman's choice, she made one for HER family. Women actually have functioning brains and can think for themselves. So I say, "people who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones". Women have choices, she made one and I applaud her for it.

Doesn't any of those idiots who think like that, (that are old enough, and if they aren't should do some reading) remember what was going on in the country at that time? Fucking Newt Grinrich and the contract for America--all the obstructionist bullshit? I remember thinking she didn't shitcan his cheating ass for the good of the country. I still think that.

The Republicans would have swarmed. The would have taken control. It was one bullshit scandal after another, and Bill Clinton fucking handed them a real one.

I can't imagine how alone she must have felt, how trapped. She is a complex, brilliant woman, and it must have burned like bile.

But she, this essential she, this incredible woman, stepped up and she kept up, and finally surpassed all her enemies, all her detractors and she persevered. It's damn impressive.

Stepped up and kept up. Yes. She is far better and stronger than the ones that wanted to take her down.

They all kept relationships together in similar circumstances, yet that fact isn't used to define them, as is often the (attempted) case with Hillary. She's held to a different standard.

They haven't been able to make anything else stick, so I guess desperate times call for desperate measures.

On the other hand, it does help weed out the fake Democrats. I know I can pretty much ignore anyone who tries to use it as a talking point.

The stuff that passes for "facts" around here - and at places like Salon and C&L - kind of boggles the mind.

I find myself too often thinking, "you can't possibly believe that". In a lot of cases, I'm pretty sure they don't.
